Day Ninety-Three
Historic Adventures...
Saturday was a nice day so we packed a lunch and headed south to St. Mary's City. When we arrived we found a picnic table and I covered it with our outdoor blanket and set up lunch. It was very nice getting a chance to have a family meal out in the sunshine.
After lunch we got our tickets and started out on our tour. We have been once before but it was last Labor Day and the park was closed so we could not go into the buildings or the ship. Ava LOVED the ship and would have stayed in the officers bunk for her nap had we let her. Her little vocabulary is really blossoming and as she was introduced to new animals she learned what they were and was able to pick them out. It is so amazing to watch.
I love days out with my family.

Day Ninety-Two
Oh so colorful...
Today I attempted to take Easter shots of Ava but she wasn't really in the mood to cooperate. I got maybe five shots that I can salvage but they are all of her back so I'll try again on Easter. I was too paranoid that she would get her outfit dirty today even though overall she is a very clean kid and rarely gets dirty.
After we came back in we decided to go ahead and dye the eggs before dinner. I let Ava dunk one of the eggs but then she seemed to think they were some sort of ball and I didn't want them to get thrown. I held her and let her watch us but really she is still too little for that sort of thing. Luckily Kate helped me so I didn't have to do them alone.

Day Ninety-One
Fun in the sun...
The sun has returned and the wind has gone away so we got back outside. After I got home from school and Aaron got off of work we took Ava to the park. We ended up going to two parks because the first one we went to, which is our usual, was packed. We went down the street to another park and Ava loved the new equipment. She went down the slides like a pro. She scoots herself to the end and slides herself down.
After a half hour or so we took her back down the street to the other park to feed the ducks and geese. I have to be careful and not take moldy bread because Ava likes to eat it instead of feed it to the geese.
Well, it's been a long day and we are going to watch a movie so I will leave you with some pictures of one of the bradford pear trees in the front yard. It the first picture you can see the willow has bloomed too.

Day Ninety
A Long Wednesday...
This morning Ava and I ran errands then when we got home I had to do the Wednesday task on cooking dinner in the afternoon. I leave for class at 3:30pm and try to have dinner done before I go since I don't return until after 8. I'm running out of things that can simmer on the stove for three hours and not burn or require any additional work.

Day Eighty-Nine
Looking up....
Last night I just wanted to lay down and I just didn't feel like taking a picture. It was late, I was tired, and I just couldn't find anything interesting around. So I laid down on the floor looked up.
Then I look to the right...
Then Ava came over to show me she put a bow on her head. She thinks it's pit-ee.

Day Eighty-Eight
Attack of the Ava Monster...
This evening I went out with my Mom to Target to get some plastic bins for the now re-organization and cleaning of the basement. There is nothing like forced spring cleaning. While we were there I picked up a few things for Easter and some chocolate covered peeps. Yup, you heard me right. Those Easter classics covered in chocolate. A Mom on my forum let us all know about them the other day and since then there have been Mom's everywhere searching for them. This Mom got lucky and my Target had them.
then someone tried to steal my candy...
The verdict....so not as good as the original. Where was the sugar coating...that was my favorite part. Also it was a different kind of marshmallow. I guess you just shouldn't mess with a good thing.
