Day One Hundred and Sixty-Three

Adventurous...

Ava is such an independent child.  She is not clinging to my every move or needing constant amusement.  I don't know if I would be sane if I had to deal with that all the time.  She has her clingy moments of course but for the most part she entertains herself.  It is really amazing to watch what she comes up with.  When she wants you to join in she will come get you or bring you a ball or something like that.  It's funny because sometimes I'll notice she got quiet and then go looking for her and find her under a chair or tucked away somewhere playing in her own little world.  She climbs things you wouldn't think are climbable, hides in places you wouldn't think to hide.  The imagination of children is really something to be admired.  I can see what life was like before we were given a box to live it.

Today while I was making a cheery pie (seriously pitting cherries is a royal pain) I would stop every so often and rinse my hands and go check on Ava.  Here are some of the pictures I took of how I would find her when I sought her out.

Actually as I am typing this post Ava has climbed into her high chair and is sitting in it watching TV.  This kid is seriously amazing.

  1. How freaking adorable is her dress?!?!?!

Lu hasn't been an adventurous child until THIS WEEKEND-when our house is in shambles as we pack it up. I found her on top of a box that was stacked on the couch on Sunday (!?!?!) I just about $hit my pants ;)

I haven't commented in awhile but I read every time you post. LOVE your blog and your pictures. YOU ARE SO TALENTED.

  2. Thanks Chelsea...I admit I have been a bad at reading yours and not commenting. I know you have been super busy with the move coming. I'm so glad you had a chance to stop by.
